3D animation

Course Description:
This course is designed to train digital story-tellers to enter the many emerging employment arenas in digital animation. The course set in a production studio atmosphere with certain hours of theoretical lecturing, while the major part will be more practical. Trainees will develop professional skills in pre-production, story-telling, modelling, texture art, lighting, character animation, effects, animation programming and technical direction as they work alongside experienced industry artists.

Each trainee will work on his assigned workstation, alongside with intensive instruction. Trainees have to accomplish individual exercises, and work in teams to complete final project. SoftImage|XSI, 3D Max or Maya Character Animation software, will be used to introduce concepts and techniques of producing successful 3D animation projects.

Main Goal of the Course:

To develop the trainees' skills in story-telling, modelling, texture art, lighting, character animation, and to guide them to create a 3D computer-generated animation project.

Pre-requisites:

A normal competence with Windows or Mac OS is required; in addition to a basic knowledge of graphics software.
