Final Cut

Course Description:
The primary focus of this course is learning the "nuts and bolts" of
editing with Final Cut Pro 5. This course covers most of the key elements of Final
Cut Pro 5, in a truly interactive and project based format. Trainees will learn
the process of taking a digital film/video from concept to completion. Along the
way we will briefly touch upon the basics of shooting quality digital video, and
how to prepare your completed project. At the last part of the course, trainees
have to submit a final project. Each trainee will work on his assigned workstation,
alongside with intensive instruction.
Main Goal of the Course:
Using Final Cut Pro 5 software, the trainee will learn to transfer footage onto
a computer, and trim and sequence material. Includes using timelines, adding sound,
titles, special effects and producing a finished edited piece.
Pre-requisites:
It is required that all trainees must have at least basic experience using a Macintosh
(OS X preferred) or Windows based PC.:
Enrolment: 6 - 8 trainees only
