Curriculum development in MEDA
is an integral part of the role the faculty member,
in cooperation with MEDA Academic Office, in support
of the mission of the Academy. Whether initiating a
new course or program or revising existing curriculum,
consideration is given to the specific academic and
vocational components which work together to create
desired learning outcomes measured and assessed with
well developed assessment and evaluation tools.
Curriculum
includes the various elements in the teaching/learning
process, not only the written materials, but also the
participants, trainers, environment, values, learning
resources, learning experiences, and training strategies.
Assessment Tools
The Academic office in MEDA has developped many asessment
tools, in order to evaluate, assess, and meassure the
achievement of the learning objectives, and the performance
of the trainees and the tutors.
(MEDA)
has its own organizational and financial structure.
In order to be validated/accredited as a vocational
training academy, MEDA has to stand alone as a separate
entity from Arascope.
"Train
the trainers" program proved to be an urgent need
for MEDA. "Training the trainers," means identifying
some existing staff members, who have some professional
expertise, and help them, develop their training skills.
